Decorated in calming neutral tones, this delightful single-storey cottage is full of light and has gorgeous views from the lounge. Here, there’s comfortable seating arranged around a smart TV and an electric fire, while the kitchen/diner is another inviting space in which to spend time, preparing delicious meals while planning your next day’s excursions. No need to miss your favourite show, either, as there’s a smart TV in the corner. There are two double bedrooms, both with cast-iron beds and one with an en-suite shower room, and a spacious room with wooden bunk beds. A sleek family bathroom completes the inside. Step outside, and you’ll relish the amazing views from the enclosed patio, where you can enjoy al fresco meals while the children play on the slide and swings in the shared, lawned play area. There is private parking at the property and there's a shared laundry room on site with 24 hour access.

The cottage is in a rural area with a variety of walks from the doorstep. From here you can catch the dog-friendly steam train through fields, meadows, woodland and mountains to Devil’s Bridge, home of the famous waterfalls. For a choice of beautiful walks, head to the Hafod Estate, 13 miles, which has 9 miles of restored footpaths through an 18th-century picturesque landscape.

A little tired and worn. Some attention to detail needed when cleaning between guests. Kitchen TV broken and loose handles on the cupboards. Quiet location but within reach of beaches and local towns by car. A pleasant stay but not to the usual standard we have been used to on other bookings. No welcome pack so you need bring tea, coffee etc.

Very fine cottage, an amazing view on the hills and between them the sea from the terrace (with barbecue) and from the drawing room with comfortable chairs. Good beds and showers, large kitchen with all you need to cook. It was rather cold for the time of the year (12), but inside it was warm enough. There is an absolute quietness at night and in tRead morehe morning you hear only the birds and some sheep. Hide
