This traditional cottage is full of character thanks to exposed wooden beams and stone walls. It provides the backdrop for a memorable holiday with another couple or for a family, plus three dogs. Canine guests in particular love trips here thanks to the plethora of walks right from the front door, and the abundance of smells to sniff out around the property. Kids and adults will also find plenty to do in the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park.
Inside, the property is a real home from home. With exposed stone walls, quarry tiled floors and oak beams, it has been sensitively renovated. A wood burner in the lounge provides a focal point while doors lead to the garden and flood the room with light. Next to the lounge is the kitchen/diner, which has a farmhouse feel. There’s everything in here you should need to rustle up delicious meals, while any dogs wait for snippets dropped for them. A table here provides a great spot for sociable breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Upstairs, you’ll find two double bedrooms. Thanks to Velux skylights they are bright during the day, while blackout blinds mean you’ll always be able to get to sleep. To the front of the cottage is a seating area for a cup of tea, and there’s also a large lawned area to the rear. A further shared lawned area overlooks the confluence of two small rivers – dogs and children should be supervised.
When you’re ready to leave the property, you’ll find that you are close to both towns of Brecon and Llandovery with lots of dog-friendly pubs and eateries. Being in the Brecon Beacons National Park means there are countless cycling and walking routes in the area too.
