Property code: OC-23949

This picture-perfect cottage is a wonderful bolthole to discover the delights of Pembrokeshire with your dog and family or friends. With the stunning Amroth beach under 500 metres away, seaside entertainment is exceptionally close by, while Amroth village itself has lots to offer too. The property is wonderfully homely thanks to thoughtful finishing touches and retaining many of its original features.

When you open the front door, and step inside, you’ll soon feel the cottage’s charm. Thanks to exposed stone walls, heavy beams and low ceilings, there’s so much character throughout - nowhere more so than in the lounge diner which has comfortable sofas and a wood burner where your dog will love to curl up and rest. You can relax easily here in the evenings by watching TV or talking about your day’s activities. The kitchen has everything you need to quickly whip up home-cooked meals. The two bedrooms are upstairs and are very cosy - there are sloping ceilings however, so do beware of low headroom. Guests can share the family bathroom. Outside, you’ll find a great spot to let out dogs and allow children to burn off energy. You may have to watch out for smaller dogs sneaking through gaps in the boundary, but you’ll find garden furniture in the converted pigsty so you can relax and keep an eye on pups and children while dining alfresco. 2 Dogs are welcome at Bwthyn Amroth, however they are not permitted on the furniture or beds, please bring your dog bed with you and keep dogs on the floor.

In addition to being close to Amroth village and its beach, Tenby is also a great town to head to with all your clan. There are plenty of dog-friendly pubs down its cobbled streets, plus a long stretch of sandy beach. However, it’s also easy to entertain your dog just by setting foot outside the property’s front door and venturing on a hike along one of the many footpaths and cross-country trails.

The enclosed garden was ideal for our two dogs who spent each day investigating the hedges and banks. Despite its small size Amroth two has a good selection of dog friendly pubs and cafes in walking distance while the nearby Colby Woodland Garden is ideal on lead dog walking territory.

We loved the cottage, coast, saw lots of dolphins and our high light was the island Skomer with thousands of puffins.

The cottage was clean, welcoming and just what we wanted for a break in winter with great access to the beach despite x2 storm warnings. The wood supply was most welcome to keep us cosy.
