Get away from it all in this romantic retreat in rural Anglesey. With a cosy wood burner and choice of gorgeous outdoor areas, it’s the perfect place to switch off. From the property, you and Rover can enjoy walks along the paths and past the lake in the extensive grounds. You’ll be near some of Anglesey’s finest woof-welcoming beaches, including the stunning stretch of sand at Traeth Lligwy (8.5 miles).
The home-away-from-home boasts original features and pretty interior decor. The single-storey property has a tiled entrance porch for storing walking gear, leading to a cosy lounge. Curl up in an armchair to watch the TV/DVD, with the hound stretched out in front of the wood burner. The country-style kitchen/diner has everything you need to whip up a dinner for two, to enjoy together at the dining table. The attractive double bedroom has French doors opening onto the courtyard and, completing the property, is a sleek and compact shower room. The cottage boasts two outdoor areas: to the front is a seating area with beautiful views, and to the rear is a courtyard for al fresco dining. You and the pup will also have access to the extensive grounds and coarse fishing lake.
There are some fantastic doggy days out to enjoy from the property, including Beaumaris Castle (18 miles). You and your four-pawed chum can explore the ground floor of the dramatic ruins, followed by a picnic in the grounds. From the town of Beaumaris, you can take boat trips to Puffin Island or cruise around the Menai Strait. The picturesque fishing village of Moelfre (10 miles) is full of Welsh charm. Wander along its pebble beach, taste the delicious fish and chips, or stride out along the dramatic coastal path that passes through the village.
