This rural bolthole on the Isle of Anglesey enjoys beautiful views across the onsite fishing lake. It’s the perfect place for couples and their favourite furry chum to switch off and relax. You’ll be less than 10 miles from the coast, where you’ll find a woof-welcoming beach at Traeth Lligwy and access to the dramatic Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. In the evenings, sip a glass of wine in your south-facing courtyard.
The former milking parlour is full of character, with original features and farmhouse-style interiors. The accommodation is arranged across one level and has a porch for storing walking boots and dog leads. The open-plan lounge/kitchen has exposed beams, a wood burner, and two easy chairs in front of the TV/DVD. Rustle up a romantic dinner in the kitchen, to share together at the breakfast bar. Patio doors open onto an enclosed courtyard, so the pup can potter in and out. Completing the property is a double bedroom and a shower room. Outside, the courtyard has outdoor furniture and a BBQ and there is additional seating to the front of the cottage, where you can sit and enjoy the views. You and the woofer are welcome to explore the extensive grounds surrounding the lake.
Anglesey is spoilt for choice when it comes to sandy, woof-welcoming beaches. Just 8.5 miles away is Traeth Lligwy. This family favourite has excellent conditions for bathing, and is also popular with water sports enthusiasts. From here, join the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, which runs for 125 miles and offers wildlife-watching opportunities and jaw-dropping views. On a hot day, journey to Newborough Forest (19 miles), where you and the woofer can wander amongst the shade of the pine trees, or paddle your toes and paws in the crystal-clear waters of the neighbouring beach.
