Rest and recharge in this cosy cottage on the Isle of Anglesey. Sleeping three guests and one furry friend, the property makes a fabulous rural retreat or base for a small family. Enjoy relaxing walks along the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path (10 miles) or unwind on one of the many paw-friendly beaches. After a day of adventure, wander down to the shared decked area for a sundowner overlooking the lake.
The traditional property boasts many original features and is decorated in a country-cottage style. Five steps lead up to the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its vaulted ceiling and exposed brickwork. You’ll find wooden flooring throughout, making it easy to deal with muddy pawprints, and a roaring wood burner for the hound to doze beside. Curl up in an armchair with your book or stretch out on the sofa to watch the TV/DVD. At dinner time, gather on the bench-style seating around the table. The cottage has a double and a single bedroom, as well as a contemporary shower room. Outside, dine on the small patio to the front of the cottage or in the shared area opposite. You are welcome to explore the extensive grounds surrounding the lake.
The charming fishing village of Moelfre is 10 miles away. Tuck into fish and chips on the paw-friendly pebble beach, or let Rover lead the way along the dramatic coastal path. The village is steeped in maritime history, and visitors are also welcome to explore the lifeboat station. Along the coast is the magnificent sandy beach of Traeth Lligwy (8.5 miles). It, too, welcomes furry visitors all year, and the dunes that run alongside the beach make a fantastic doggy playground. The bustling port of Holyhead is 13.5 miles away, and has a fabulous range of eateries, many serving local seafood.
