This mountain retreat in the heart of Eryri - Snowdonia National Park sleeps four guests and one hairy hound, making it ideal for two couples or a small family. The open-plan cottage has a sociable layout and enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dog walks, with the glacial wilderness of the Glyders and Carneddau to the north and the slopes of Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon to the south.

The bright and airy lounge has ample space for the dog bed and comfortable seating arranged around a cosy wood burner, which sits below a local slate lintel. The spacious kitchen/diner is a light-filled room where you can cook up a storm and share mealtimes together. A utility room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, discover two inviting bedrooms – a double and twin – with spectacular mountain views. Also on this floor is a chic shower room. An expansive grassed area envelops the property, providing plenty of space for a game of fetch. There’s also a patio area with furniture for outdoor dining.

Footpaths lead directly to the mountain of Moel Siabod, or across to the lakes of Crafnant and Geirionydd. A regular bus service also takes you to the foot of the mighty Yr Wyddfa -  Snowdon (9 miles). Alternatively, you and the hound can hop on the Snowdon Mountain Railway in nearby Llanberis (10.5 miles). The perfect place to return to each day on an active outdoor holiday. A warm hallway with plenty of space to hang wet gear - and it was all dry by the morning - a big kettle and big mugs!

We had a lovely stay here. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and finished to a very high standard. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than planned due to family matters back home, which was a real shame as we would have loved to stay longer. The location is perfect for walking and hiking, with shops just a short drive away. We would happily stayRead more again and would definitely recommend it to others. Hide

Nicely appointed and roomy cottage in, for us at least, the perfect location. Everything was clean and lots of well-written and actually helpful instructions on how to use facilities in the cottage. Was warm enough without need to use the log burner. Will stay there again when we need accomodation in that area.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location for exploring Snowdonia. The Slate Trail is right on the doorstop, as is the stop for the Sherpa bus to get you into the mountains. Parking can be tricky if you have a larger vehicle, but the public car park is very convenient if necessary. Fantastic outdoor clothing shop right next door!

Well appointed cottage in a great location perfect for family of 4. Modern and spacious interior meant we had plenty of space and could chill out without being on top of each other at the end of a long day in the mountains. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Excellent location, very convenient for exploring the Snowdonia national park. Spacious cottage, with big kitchen and dining area. The utility area is very useful too for taking off muddy boots, wet coats or shopping.

The cottage was clean and had the essentials. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable unfortunately. The other negative component was the parking situation - one parking space was listed in the ad and home information brochure, however when we arrived the parking space was taken. After speaking with the neighbour the next day, we were told thatRead more there isn't really a parking space for the cottage. Otherwise the cottage was in a good location for travelling to nearby areas. Hide

Spacious, well-equipped, and with great views to Moel Siabod. The skylights in the kitchen made all the difference when we were staying in.
