This mountain retreat in the heart of Eryri - Snowdonia National Park sleeps four guests and one hairy hound, making it ideal for two couples or a small family. The open-plan cottage has a sociable layout and enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dog walks, with the glacial wilderness of the Glyders and Carneddau to the north and the slopes of Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon to the south.
The terraced cottage carefully combines period features with modern design, to create a stylish and homely base for your holiday. The bright and airy lounge has ample space for the dog bed and comfortable seating arranged around a cosy wood burner, which sits below a local slate lintel. The spacious kitchen/diner is a light-filled room where you can cook up a storm and share mealtimes together. A utility room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, discover two inviting bedrooms – a double and twin – with spectacular mountain views. Also on this floor is a chic shower room. An expansive grassed area envelops the property, providing plenty of space for a game of fetch. There’s also a patio area with furniture for outdoor dining.
The mountain village of Capel Curig (0.5 miles) is perfectly placed for keen walkers and four-pawed explorers. Footpaths lead directly to the mountain of Moel Siabod, or across to the lakes of Crafnant and Geirionydd. A regular bus service also takes you to the foot of the mighty Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon (9 miles). Alternatively, you and the hound can hop on the Snowdon Mountain Railway in nearby Llanberis (10.5 miles). Capel Curig boasts a number of cosy pubs, or Betws-y-Coed with its bars and restaurants is just 6 miles away.
