Anyone enthused by history and myths will find lots to enjoy around Dartmouth, with the castle (just under 1 mile), the Mermaid of Dartmouth (0.5 miles) and the fort (about 200 metres). You’ll also find plenty of places to try water sports and hire equipment around the town (0.5 miles). If you’d prefer ice cream (and a bone for Fido), there are lots of dog-friendly eateries to be sniffed out. For more four-legged friends, go horse riding at the Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre (9.5 miles), or take a beautiful walk around the Berry Head Lighthouse (6.5 miles).
