  • Open-plan interior where families and friends can let their hair down
  • Throw open the French doors in summer, gather by the wood burner in winter

Property code: OC-3GC

A chic three-storey property situated in the peaceful village of Snape on the meandering Alde Estuary. This tranquil oasis is ideal for a family getaway or friends'' reunion with a four-pawed amigo in tow. Curious canines will delight in sniffing out the local wildlife as they bound along the marshes and heathland on the Snape Warren Circuit (1 mile), before stretching out to scoff a post-adventure chew on the secluded patio.

This tastefully appointed home boasts a fresh, coastal interior with light-flooded rooms styled in cool grey and neutral tones. Slip off sandy harnesses at the door then step into the spacious lounge. Tend to the crackling wood burner with the help of your furry assistant or throw open the patio doors on balmy summer evenings. Curl up on the padded seats with a captivating novel or crack open a bottle and catch up over a sparkling aperitif. Pad through to the sleek shaker kitchen and prepare a special supper for Fido before raiding the fridge for an assortment of indulgent evening nibbles. Top up your glasses then gather around the table to settle in for a celebratory feast. Rest up in the three contemporary bedrooms, consisting of a first-floor en-suite king and an airy twin, as well as a large second-floor twin with skylights. Devour an al fresco breakfast spread perched on the patio while your nosey pup sniffs out his new stomping ground.

Venture to the shingly shores of Sizewell Beach (7 miles) for unrestricted wave-crashing and ball-chasing fun on the Suffolk coast. Soak in the nostalgic seaside charm as you dive into a portion of fish and chips on Aldeburgh promenade (6 miles) or get noses twitching as you browse the local market for locally produced goodies. From Aldeburgh, inhale the salty ocean air with a bound along the scenic stretch of coastline to Thorpeness (2 miles).

The cottage's situation is good and provides a good base for exploring Suffolk and especially convenient for accessing Snape Maltings. Another good point is that it is not overlooked.

Lovely property. Great location near snape maltings and close enough to aldeburgh and the sea. House is large and well equipped - large bedrooms and lovely and bright. We had a great stay and look forward to returning.

Oven and grill need a good clean - Kettle unusable (was in a disgusting state) - some paintwork was grubby - garden needs tidying and has an ant problem which could affect the inside soon - tin opener old fashioned and unusable - windows have not been cleaned for months - Apart from that we enjoyed our stay but however with Read morea little more care it could have been 10 out of 10 or indeed 5 star.
