Nestled in the heart of the picturesque village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this stunning house is perfect for special family celebrations or reunions with friends. Spacious throughout, it sleeps ten people across five bedrooms (with an extra sofa bed in the family room) and there’s even a special place in front of the wood burner for four of your canine companions. Immerse yourselves in the rural way of life with walks from your doorstep, the sounds of a babbling brook alongside the terrace, undulating hills in all directions and, of course, a village pub within a few hundred metres.
This house is steeped in history, but inside a tasteful combination of traditional and contemporary décor makes it feel warm and welcoming. There are two reception rooms for you to enjoy and two dining spaces - a formal dining room and a relaxed breakfast room. The country kitchen is light and airy with an AGA and an electric oven, whilst the utility room offers somewhere for wet gear. Two staircases lead up to the beautifully presented bedrooms, three en-suite shower rooms and the family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, there’s a small garden to the front and a large terrace to the rear, overlooking the stream – a great location for al fresco dining.
Keen walkers and their four-legged friends will be satisfied with the abundance of walking routes from Kettlewell itself, with something for all abilities. Further afield, there are charming towns/villages to explore with dog-friendly independent shops, pubs and cafes to enjoy, such as Grassington (8 miles) and Skipton (15 miles). Pretty village Malham (14.5 miles) is also worth a visit as it’s home to the limestone amphitheatre, Malham Cove, and breathtaking gorge, Gordale Scar, and Janet’s Foss Waterfall – all within walking distance of the village.
