Property code: OC-W407

This stunning three-storey townhouse in the popular town of Whitby on the Yorkshire coast is ideal for families and their canine companions. Located in a quiet residential area, you’re still less than a mile from the beach, shops and eateries. You can even see the iconic Whitby Abbey from the upstairs rooms. You and your dogs can explore the coastline with brisk walks along The Cleveland Way, whilst others discover the town’s connections to literary and historical characters, Dracula and Captain Cook.

Beautifully presented throughout, cool, contemporary tones and bespoke fixtures and fittings effortlessly blend with original features to create a stylish home, with high ceilings and large windows adding light and space throughout. Take the steps up to the front door and enter the hall where a kids’ snug is tucked away under the stairs. On your left is a welcoming lounge, whilst to the rear is a gorgeous kitchen/diner with French doors leading out to the courtyard. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, a snug, a family bathroom with a free-standing bath, and a shower room arranged over two floors. Narrow stairs lead up to the third floor and there is some restricted head height.

Whitby is a hive of activity with museums, galleries, historic sites, a beach and many shops and eateries lining its medieval streets, so you have plenty to do on your doorstep. Should you want to venture further afield, Robin Hood’s Bay (5.5 miles) is popular with its maze of cobbled streets and houses that lead to the sea, as is Sandsend (3.5 miles) with its promenade, long beach, excellent eating options and world-class day spa. Heading inland, your four-legged friends will love the walking opportunities amongst the heather-clad North York Moors National Park.

Beautiful, comfortable and spacious house with everything you could possibly need, the best we have stayed in in Whitby! The decor and furnishings were a lovely mix of old and new. Location was perfect and with parking it was ideal. Lovely little paved courtyard at the back was perfect for our dog. Didn't want to leave, will definitely return!

The house is in a great location. It is very comfortable and has been renovated to a high standard whilst also keeping some of the period features. The stairs to the top floor are steep and narrow but were not any problem for us but others may find them difficult. We would definitely stay there again. Great chip shop straight from the back gate.

Everything about the house was superb. Location wise it's probably nit suitable for people unable to climb a vert steep hill on a regular basis if going back and forth into Whitby. But we managed it ok.
