This inviting area is perfect for fireside snuggles, hours in the company of a good book or afternoon naps following an active morning. Guests working their way through indulgent meals at the dining table opposite certainly won’t have far to reach to get second helpings from the kitchen. The annexe’s double bedroom comes with an en-suite. Outside, the shared yard offers a scenic place to enjoy drinks and fine weather. There is also stabling for one horse on site.

The numerous bridleways and footpaths that surround the village of Beulah (0.5 miles) are perfect for guests on two and four legs and a great way to observe the area’s wildlife. The market town of Builth Wells (9 miles) offers scenic walks along the River Wye and dog-friendly pubs and eateries. Hikers and climbers will be in their element amongst the Cambrian Mountains (3 miles), with the views from the likes of Pumlumon Fawr, its highest peak at 2,468ft, well worth the effort.

I stayed for 5 nights the last week of January and had a very pleasant stay. Such a peaceful location and just what I needed to re-charge. Lots of walking possibilities which I enjoyed with Oskar my labrador. Location I found excellent if you enjoy the outdoors and also the village shop and pub less than a 10 minute walk away. Extremely comfy bed aRead morend the whole cottage is well equipped and more to the point very warm. Hilary is an excellent host and very unobtrusive but when I had one issue with the electrics she had the repair guy arond the same afternoon. I also left behind a box of camping gear, stove, water filter etc which she very kindly posted to me a couple of days later. I would have no hesitation in returning to such a peaceful and tranquil 'Bakery' Hide
