It would be hard to find a more charming and characterful cottage than this. With a rich history dating back to the 19th century, this property is nestled in a peaceful rural village, with miles of scenic walking trails for you and your canine companion to explore together from the doorstep.

After a long day exploring your peaceful surroundings, hunker down for the evening in the light and bright living/dining room, bursting with characterful features such as expansive picture windows, a high ceiling and exposed oak beams. As the cooler air draws in, fire up the roaring wood burner to warm chilly toes and send your four-pawed pal into a blissful doze as you head into the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to rustle up a delicious meal to tame growling tummies. Take your top dog’s special blanket upstairs where you’ll find the same charm as downstairs across three characterful bedrooms. Your canine companion will go mutts sniffing around the lawn that wraps around the cottage. There’s also a pretty and shaded patio area perfect for al fresco dining.

Located in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the only sound you’ll hear in the quiet village of Sedgeford is the sound of your top dog’s collar chiming through the wind as you explore the beauty of the surrounding walkways together. Join up with the National Cycle Route 1 which passes through the village if your four-pawed pal can keep up with you on a bike, or enjoy a long walk along the Peddars Way trail which passes just outside the village. Soak up the Victorian charm of Hunstanton (5 miles) and treat your pup to an afternoon bounding through the waves of its wonderful beach before sniffing around the rock pools.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magazine. The cottage had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of hot water for a good soak in the bath after a day out walking and very comfortable beds. Its situation is perfect for the coast and walking the many footpaths in the area.

Wonderful house. Perfect christmas get away. Kitchen is brilliantly stock with useful equipment including sharp knives, scales, tin opener, electric hand whisk, etc. I cooked a full roast and hot dinners with proper puddings and had everything I needed. Very quirky being on 3 floors and 380 years old. Very cosy, heating and woodburner were great anRead mored very comfortable beds. Shower was amazing and enjoyed by all of us. Would visit again if we wanted to see more of that part of Norfolk. Hide

The Magazine was a lovely property with deer seen each morning on the Peddar's Way right outside. The history of the property was fascinating and despite it's age, it was warm and comfortable. Within easy reach of the Coast and Holkham Hall, we really enjoyed our stay here.

A wonderfully quirky property with some challenges (number of stairs) But that is the charm of staying in such an historic place. The sitting room was very light thanks to the huge windows, also very comfortable. The property was extremely well equipped with homely touches throughout. Lovely wraparound garden with outside seating. The location is vRead moreery convenient for easy access to the coast, Sandringham, Holham, Wells etc. The only downside was the amount of traffic noise from the B1454 running past the property. There was more than we had anticipated from a B class road and it was very noticeable especially when sitting in the garden. Hide

The Magazine experience for us was brilliant. We and our daughter and young granddaughter plus our two dogs had magnificent walks along Peddars Way. The cars were hardly needed until we ventured further afield to the glorious pubs, cafs, beaches and other facilities!
