A contemporary gem within scampering distance of the sand and shingle beach, this marvellous property sleeps eight humans along with two canine companions. You’ll also be close to Northam Burrows, part of the UK''s first designated UNESCO Biosphere and a truly pup-friendly place to play on the beach. After a long day, hose down sandy paws and take a seat in the garden to watch the sunset over drinks and snacks.

Sleek, stylish and extremely spacious, this wonderful abode has chic interiors and all the home comforts you could wish for. Open the shutters and let the sunlight stream in at breakfast time, sizzle up some bacon and prepare a coffee to sip al fresco. Sprawl on the sofas and watch TV, lighting the wood burner for a truly atmospheric evening. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are dressed to perfection, and the youngest of guests will fall in love with the family bedroom with its toys and bunk beds. Two of the bedrooms have en-suites, and there is a family bathroom too. Outside, the garden is perfect for sunny afternoons unwinding with drinks whilst Fido plays.

Soak up the stunning views of the North Devon coast as you sniff out the South West Coast Path, venturing as far as your paws will take you before refuelling with tasty pub lunches. For the active adventures within your group, the beach is top dog for surfing and water sports, whilst the bravest can attempt a chilly dip in the tidal pool. Further afield, you’ll have the delightful fishing villages of Instow and Appledore to enjoy, or why not head into Barnstaple (10.5 miles) to browse the shops and try an independent restaurant? Cyclists are well catered for here too with the Tarka Trail, a 180-mile figure-of-eight loop.

We had a fabulous stay at The Beech House, Westward Ho! with two of our grown up children and their girlfriends so 6 x adults and our Dalmatian, Daisy Moo. We really enjoyed our stay at beach house and this was the second visit here. Property is very clean x spacious x had everything we needed for the perfect family holiday.

This is a fabulous holiday property for families and super dog friendly. Superb location, high spec, great outside space, ample parking with electric charging. Excellent to access Westward Ho! And great base to explore the wider county. Highly recommend

We had a lovely stay at Beach House. The accommodation was very well equipped and had everything we needed for a family holiday. Beach House is very clean, comfortable, homely, spacious and well maintained. It is well situated for the local shops and the beach; both are an easy 10 minute walk away. The window shutters work well for privacy. HowRead moreever in the bedrooms, when the shutters are closed at night, they do let some light in, so this is something to be aware of if you prefer a darker room for sleeping. Hide
