What could be finer than a comfortable home-from-home sleeping four in style in this detached cottage in central Whitby? Whether that’s four friends or a small family, don’t forget the all-important woofer as he or she is welcome here too! Comfortable open-plan living awaits, with cosy bedrooms, practical wooden floors (just in case there are any mucky paws) and wonderful abbey views. The beach and harbour are within 500 metres, so walkies pose no problem – just check for seasonal restrictions. Stop, relax and recharge your batteries with your nearest and dearest, whilst having a BBQ in the decked area.
Downstairs, you’ll step straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, so be sure to leave dog towels by the front door. Wood flooring throughout this light and airy space is a practical choice with a furry friend in tow! Comfortable seating around the TV, segues into the kitchen/diner area, slightly around the corner. It’s small but perfectly formed with a well-equipped and smart kitchen and a dining table for four. One double bedroom is also downstairs, perfect for a quick sleeping option. Upstairs, there’s an en-suite double and a single bedroom, both with stunning abbey views. The private decked area is a great touch, with furniture plus a brick-built BBQ for al fresco feasts.
Set in a historic part of Whitby, the town can be easily discovered from here via its network of atmospheric streets and lanes. People-watch at the harbour or check out the shops and businesses. The beaches (of which there are three) are sure to feature predominantly on any holiday with a canine companion. Further afield, check out the rest of this beautiful coastline or lead the way to walking adventures inland in the North York Moors National Park. Between March and December, see the sights from a heritage perspective aboard the North York Moors Railway.
