Escape to the countryside to de-stress at this converted two-bed farm building, one of three on-site. It’s ideally suited for a small family or even two couples wanting to explore the area but, best of all, a four-legged friend can come too. The living area is spacious and sociable for a group but be mindful that you’re on a working farm, so your canine chum needs monitoring. Within 1 mile of Beckley village, the property has shared use of a fenced dog paddock, but it’s also slap bang in the middle of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so walkies abound, and your dog will have a ball.
All the accommodation is on one level, so no need to worry about young pups or older hounds managing tricky stairs. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is flooded with light from the Velux windows in the apex roof and the wall of windows along most of one side by the comfortable lounge area. It’s both practical and really welcoming with its wood burner, glass doors and magnificent vaulted, beamed ceiling all adding to its charm. Sleeping quarters comprise one double and one twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are generous with en-suites, individual decor and furnishings for a restful vibe. Outside there’s a furnished, private patio for al fresco feasts, plus a shared lawned area with a picnic bench and a fenced dog paddock to the front.
You can easily spend your time here just relaxing and walking the dog on local footpaths. But, if you fancy an outing, the medieval cinque port of Rye (7 miles) offers you gorgeous winding streets, independent shops and history galore. Or let the dog go mutts on the beach at Camber Sands (11 miles) or visit the vibrant seaside resort of Hastings (10.5 miles).
