Relish the peace and quiet on an extended family break at this converted three-bed barn. Make it a multigenerational gathering as the accommodation is all on one level and, best of all, a four-legged friend can come too. The living area is spacious and sociable for a group but do note the barn is on a working farm, so you’ll need to keep an eye on your canine chum. Within 1 mile of Beckley village, the barn has a fenced dog paddock, but it’s also slap bang in the middle of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so your dog will think it’s their birthday!
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a practical but also welcoming space to spend time on your holiday. A wood burner, oak floor, sliding glass doors and magnificent vaulted, beamed ceiling all add to its charm. A sleek fitted kitchen at one end also boasts a modern dining table easily seating eight, while the lounge area has warm decor and comfortable seating to take in the lovely rural views. For sleeping quarters, there’s one double en-suite bedroom and two twin bedrooms, sharing a further modern shower room. All three bedrooms are generous with light decor and furnishings for a restful vibe. Outside, there’s a furnished terrace and an enclosed lawned garden to the rear. There’s a shared lawned area with a picnic bench and a fenced dog paddock to the front.
You can spend your time here doing nothing but relaxing and walking the dog on local footpaths. But, if you fancy an outing, the medieval cinque port town of Rye (7 miles) offers gorgeous winding streets, independent shops and history galore. Let the dog go mutts on the beach at Camber Sands (11 miles) or check out vibrant Hastings (10.5 miles).
