Home comforts marry seamlessly with original and rustic features in this stone cottage sleeping up to three humans and two furry friends in style. Located in the friendly village of Leyburn, it would suit a couple, a small family or two friends keen on getting their boots on and exploring the nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stylish decor and a mix of modern and antique furnishings give this cottage an elegant feel. Traditional features include exposed wood beams, stonework, latch-style doors and a window seat.
Settle down by the wood burner in the generous lounge, complete with a window seat. If it’s a self-catering night, the modern fitted kitchen will do you proud, with all you’ll need and plenty of space to work as well as a sleek wood table seating four. The sleeping quarters are upstairs and comprise one smart king-size and one cosy single bedroom. Both are generous spaces with chic decor and furnishings, topped off with exposed ceiling beams in the king-size bedroom. Outside, you can bask in the sun or enjoy dining alfresco while sitting on the enclosed furnished patio with your canine companions by your feet.
At the heart of Wensleydale, Leyburn is often called “a town for all seasons”, so there’s plenty going on here including shopping, eateries and pubs. See the sights from a different perspective aboard a steam train on the Wensleydale Railway which stops at Leyburn on its run between Scruton and Redmire. Rather thrillingly, dogs are allowed on board as long as they buy cheap dog returns. But, other than that, lace your boots up and grab those dog leads and head out into the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales for a holiday none of you will forget.
