Discover this vibrant and contemporary cottage situated in the scenic seaside village of Mundesley on the glistening Norfolk coast. This sleek oasis is perfect for a small family getaway with a couple of furry companions in tow. Feel the wind in your fur with a blustery scamper alongside the colourful beach huts lining the hilltop promenade of Mundesley (300 metres), before sniffing out the enclosed lawned garden while the humans toast with an al fresco tipple.

This playful property features a stylish beach interior with bright neutral tones, nautical prints, and light-flooded social spaces. Towel off your sandy pup at the door then step into the inviting lounge area. Sink onto the sofa amongst the colourful scatter pillows or browse the selection of guidebooks and games. In chillier months, snuggle up with a film on the Smart TV or stretch weary paws in the warm glow of the wood burner-effect electric fire. Stock up the cupboards with goodies in the crisp kitchen/diner then feed the bellies of your hungry hounds. Adorn the wooden dining table with a selection of tempting dishes then tuck into a celebratory supper. As the night draws in, ascend the staircase to discover two beautifully presented bedrooms, consisting of a tranquil double with coastal-toned accent colours and an airy twin with a tempting reading nook. Throw a ball for Fido on the lawn while you sip your morning coffee perched on the rear patio or explore the shared front garden.

Venture to the bustling coastal town of Cromer (7.5 miles) and amble along the Grade-II Victorian pier with a bag of piping hot chips or scope out the dog-friendly section of beach below for wave-crashing and sand-digging fun. Get noses twitching as you saunter through the fragrant gardens at Felbrigg Hall (10 miles) then stop for a refreshing drink at one of the complimentary water bowls dotted throughout the estate. Curious canines will adore fossil hunting and bounding across the rocky shoreline of West Runton Beach (10.5 miles).

Lovely little stay - we made a very spontaneous trip and managed to book this place very last minute. Its perfectly located to the beach (less than 10 mins). Very cute and cosy. Lovely touch of some biscuits and a bottle wine on arrival (thank you very much).

We loved the cottage so much, it was so comfortable and cosy as well as being modern and I loved the nautical- themed decor We didn't realise how close the cottage was to the centre of Mundesley and that we could have walked in, so possibly a map to show that

Merryweather Cottage was clean and well equipped. It's location is great for Mundesley Beach and The Ship pub restaurant, which are only a few mins walk. The enclosed garden is dog friendly and the area is very accepting of dogs. We would definitely recommend. We had a wonderful stay.

Double bed mattress we could not sleep on, absolutely awful, so we moved into the spare room which had 2 single beds, again one mattress was unbearable to sleep on, so my husband was in the bed and I was resigned to the sofa for the week

Lovely cottage and very comfortable. Ideally situated for walks and the beach. With places to eat nearby. The lounge would have benefited from a coffee table, as nowhere to put your cup when having a drink. We utilised one of the dining chairs as a table which worked quite well.
