This modern property poses no problem for young or old joints (human or canine!) as it’s all on one level with plenty of room to manoeuvre. Offering two bedrooms and a fabulous enclosed garden as well, it’s ideal for a family group, one or two couples. It’s in a quiet location on the outskirts of Whitby, within 1 mile of the historic town centre and only a tiny bit further to the beach for walkies.
This detached bungalow is a great choice, offering bright and airy accommodation for a super comfortable self-catering break. Hard flooring throughout (wood and tile) is a brilliant option with a potentially mucky pup in tow. Entering the generous kitchen, make sure dog towels are to hand if your furry friend has been for a swim or the weather’s not playing ball. There’s all you could want in a holiday home from home, including a breakfast bar or alternatively, you can eat at the table seating four in the dining room. The large lounge is filled with light and is just the place to have a chat, watch TV or read a book. The sleeping quarters comprise one double and one twin bedroom with neutral decor and modern furnishings for a calm vibe. Let your pampered pooch potter about the large garden, having a good sniff, while you relax on the bench.
Climbing the 199 steps to ruined Whitby Abbey (1.5 miles) is a must, not least for the stunning views out to sea. Check out the busy harbour and learn about the links with Captain James Cook, or go mutts with your best furry buddy on the beach. For a different kind of sightseeing, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway goes from Whitby – and yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome for a small fee.
