Embrace a traditional bucket-and-spade holiday and bring Fido along to join in the fun, choosing the glorious North Devon coastline as your base. This delightful cottage is perfect for families and small groups of friends seeking sun, sea and sand, so you’ll soon be discovering the top dog amenities nearby. Take to the coast path, play on the beach, or simply browse the shops and eateries speckled across the seaside villages and bustling market towns.

Bright, spacious and extremely chic, this cosy cottage is the essence of beach-style living with its fresh decor and thoughtful accessories. The lounge/diner is the heart of the home with its beamed ceiling and sociable space, and the kitchen has all the necessities for preparing your favourite meals. There is a bedroom on this level and a family shower room, and climbing up the stairs will reward you with two further bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, the attractive garden is a sun trap for al fresco drinks.

Studded upon the dramatic coastline, it is easy to see why Croyde (1 mile) is one of North Devon’s most beloved locations. Sweeping golden sand, fantastic surfing, and the azure sea may be enough to tempt you, but the chocolate-box village is a treat with its pretty shops, pubs and traditional buildings. For waggy-tailed visitors, splashing in the sea is best enjoyed between October and April when there are no dog restrictions, but further along the coast, you’ll have the pup-friendly shores of Northam Burrows (20.5 miles). For foodies, you’ll discover a wealth of gastropubs, restaurants and cafes to satisfy your appetite.

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable, well equipped cottage. Very clean and comfortable beds. Cute garden up several steps. Parking was a bit of a challenge over the bank holiday weekend, but it was fine after that. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk. The owners were very helpful and communicative. I'd certainly recommend.

We loved this cottage - we especially loved the downstairs bedroom and wet room which made it accessible for our disabled son. Really easy walking distance from the centre of Croyde and then onto the beach. Useful things for beach holidays like an outdoor tap, big hooks for wetsuits, big sink indoors for rinsing things in the wet room and a heateRead mored towel rail for when nothing would dry! Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking nice meals. Hide

Great place to stay with just about every thing needed. Pub just over the road. Double glazing blocked out any noise. Family friendly village, the people in the post office were very helpful. Beach was great.
