The elegant holiday home enjoys a peaceful location on the edge of The Broads National Park. Sleeping four guests and two dogs, the cottage makes a lovely couples’ retreat. You’ll have a great choice of dog walks from the property, with the River Yare flowing nearby and the long-distance Wherryman’s Way passing through the village. After a busy day, sip a sundowner in the pretty courtyard garden or soak in the bubbling hot tub.
The luxurious barn conversion is decorated in a contemporary, country-cottage style and has impressive high ceilings and exposed trusses. The cottage has cosy underfloor heating, providing plenty of dozing spots for the hounds. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a sociable space, with ample comfortable seating to relax on and a large wooden table for sharing memorable mealtimes together. When it’s time to say goodnight, two tranquil bedrooms await. Choose from a king-size with an en-suite shower room, or a twin that can be made up as a super-king-size on request. A stylish bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, discover a pretty courtyard garden, with wisteria-covered walls and mature flower beds. The area is fully enclosed, so the 2 dogs can happily potter around whilst you dine on the patio or relax in the hot tub.
The area is a haven for walkers and four-pawed explorers, with picturesque routes around the western edge of The Broads and along the River Yare. Those who fancy getting out on the water, can head to Acle or Wroxham (both within 15 miles), where you can join paw-friendly boat trips or hire a vessel of your own for a real adventure with your hairy sidekicks. For a traditional day at the seaside, journey to Great Yarmouth (24.5 miles). Its southern beach welcomes canine visitors all year, and you’ll find a great selection of doggy-friendly eateries.
