A well-presented country cottage with a lush lawned garden, set in the charming village of Birnham Market within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Beauty. This inviting abode is ideal for a small family getaway or a reunion with friends plus a couple of honorary four-pawed members. Feel the sand between your paws with wave-crashing and ball-chasing fun on the doggy-designated sections of Holkham Beach (6 miles), then tackle a chew in the sun-dappled lawn while the humans enjoy an al fresco drink in the summer house.

This single-storey property features an airy interior with clean lines, cool neutral tones, and light-flooded social areas. Towel off sandy paws by the door then step into the bright lounge and sink onto the comfortable sofa amongst the soft scatter pillows. Unwind with a film and brew while your dog snoozes at your feet. Prepare supper in the crisp shaker kitchen overlooking the garden while the chief bartender shakes up some pre-dinner tipples. There is also a handy washer and dryer for any mucky pups in the group. Gather the pack for a family feast around the dining table and settle in for an evening of festivities with your nearest and dearest. As the night draws in, scope out the cosiest corner for a dog bed in the two tranquil bedrooms, consisting of a double and a twin. The leafy garden is ideal for ball-throwing antics and sipping a morning coffee.

Follow the intriguing sea scents along the Thornham harbour (7 miles) and listen to fisherman''s boating clinking in the water then tuck into a traditional pub lunch with the doggy-mad locals. At low tide, your furry companion can enjoy exhilarating zoomies along the miles of golden sands at Brancaster Beach (5 miles). Get tails wagging with a visit to the fragrant fields of Norfolk Lavender (10 miles).

We really enjoyed everything about the bungalow. When we first walked in it smelt clean and fresh. The kitchen was better than in the original photos as it's been decorated with new dining chairs so that was great. The bedrooms are a good size with good quality furniture. The living room was cozy with a new TV. Bathroom is great, nice to have a seRead moreparate shower for my elderly parents. Hide

We had a lovely stay in the Sheilings. The owner, who lived next door, was very friendly and helpful if we had any queries.

Garden very neglected with brambles everywhere. Grass not cut. Garden certainly not secure as fencing missing in places. On plus side enjoyed seeing hedgehogs in the garden and deer.

Nice convenient place to stay, the village itself is shockingly expensive especially to eat out, however in Burnham Thorpe only just over a mile away was the Admiral Lord Nelson pub which was much more reasonably priced and the food was excellent and the owner and staff were very efficient and friendly.
