Property code: OC-BBKEME

A homely seaside property with a leafy front courtyard ideally situated by the shorefront in Kemp Town, this coastal hideaway is great for a small family or a couple seeking a retreat on the Sussex Coast with their four-pawed companion. Scamper along the Kemp Town Beach towards the Brighton Marina where playful pups can crash through the waves and sniff hello to the sun worshipers, then tuck into an al fresco lunch on the patio while Fido sunbathes by your side.

This welcoming home provides a comfortable interior with a feature arched window and a sociable open-plan layout. Grab a fluffy towel and dry off soggy paws then step into the lounge area where you can recline with a fresh brew and a sweet treat after a day by the sea. Potter in the compact kitchen and stock up the cabinets with lots of local goodies then treat your hungry hound to a well-earned supper. Whip up a hearty dinner or sniff out the best local takeaway, then crack open a bottle and dine at the wooden table while you flick through your doggy action shots from the day. Rest up in the well-presented bedrooms on the first floor, consisting of a bright double and a single. Early risers can perch in the courtyard with their morning coffee and catch some morning rays after blustering beachfront walkies.

Stroll along the shoreline to the bohemian hub of Brighton, 1 mile, and scope out the myriad of independent bistros and cafes offering mouth-watering brunches where well-behaved hounds are welcomed with fresh water, biscuits, and ear-scratches. Pack a picnic and feast in the impressive grounds of the Royal Pavilion, 2 miles, or escape the city and follow the coastal trail to Saltdean, 4 miles, to bound along the shingly, cliff-backed beach peppered with rockpools for a curious canine to explore.

The cottage was perfect for our needs. Good location with access to grass area and beach for the dogs. Lidl a few minutes away and even Asda only a twelve minute walk. There was a nice pub that does food at the end of the road. (Closed Monday and Tuesday day but perhaps that is seasonal). A big plus was the allocated parking, close by and behindRead mores electronic gates. The cottage was well equipped with basic items eg washing up liquid etc provided. The bed was really comfortable and the whole cottage was warm and clean. All in all the cottage felt like a home from home. We wish wed booked two weeks! Hide

Great location in a quiet area and convenient with two big grocery stores close-by. The Pier and city centre are within walking distance and there are also bus stops around the corner. The lovely promenade is only a few steps away. We found the flat clean and well-kept, and we slept very comfortably.

The property was in dire need of a facelift. Plus the fixtures and fitttings were below our usual expectations. The main problem were the beds. Extremely old and totally uncomfortable. I tried to sleep on the sofa one night but it was too short being only a 2 seater. We slept on top of 2 eiderdowns in our own sleeping bags and still found the beRead mored hard and lumpy. The mattress was thin and springs could be felt inside and the base was as old as the arc. Overall I couldn't wait to get home for a decent nights sleep. The tv in the property is small and old with a poor quality picture and poor sound quality. The wifi, on the other hand, was good. We loved Brighton but would not stay in the same property and would not recommend it to anyone. We have used ypur company before when we stayed in Saundersfoot. That property was great. However we feel we have been let down with this current rental plus it was nearly double the price of Saundersfoot. This means, by default, that we would hesitate to use your company again as we assume that you would vet all properties you advertise for rental. This particular property is well below standard. Finally, the cooker extractor fan needs to be replaced. It smells, is rusty and is obviously well past its sell by date. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you have asked for honest feedback. We found the location perfect for us - in a very quiet secluded spot quite close to the seafront and about a mile and a half away from the town. The allocated parking space in a gated secure area behind the house was great. The place was very clean and mostly very comfortable. For the price paid it is good value. We knocked off some points for asRead more follows. Some of the information at the property does differ a little from the instructions recieved. The info at the property also differs from what actually is in place regarding keys. The heating control screen wasn't working when we looked when the heating was supposed to come on. The double bed mattress was uncomfortable. Otherwise we really enjoyed the stay and would rebook with the company. Hide

Everything we needed for a lovely week in Brighton. Super location and a very cosy property. The secure off street parking was a major plus.

The mattresses in both beds should really be replaced, very soft and lumpy, the springs can be felt, very difficult to sleep
