An elegant seaside cottage surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, situated on the fringes of Holme-Next-The-Sea on the magnificent North Norfolk Heritage Coast. This stylish hideaway is perfect for a couples retreat or family getaway with a couple of waggy-tailed amigos in tow. Energetic pups can dig, roll, and wave-chase to their little heart’s content on the sweeping dune-backed shores of Holme Beach (1 mile). Bask in your beautiful surroundings with an al fresco supper on the sprawling lawn.

This well-presented property boasts an inviting country interior. Imagine stonework detailing, feature arched windows, and light-flooded social spaces. Bound along the stepping stone pathway to the front door then towel down your muddy hound before heading inside. On balmy afternoons, take advantage of the fabulous conservatory bathed in natural light. Throw open the patio doors and enjoy the gentle summer breeze drifting inside as you unwind on the sofas. Adorn the wooden dining table with an indulgent spread then dive in for a celebratory feast. Potter in the sleek kitchen and perch at the glossy stone breakfast bar with a coffee or rustle up a hearty supper for you doe-eyed dogs. In cooler months, pad into the lounge and sink onto the large leather seats with a brew or warm chilly paws by the crackling wood burner. Retire to the two tranquil sleeping areas along the corridor, consisting of a bright double and an adaptable king-size/twin bedroom. After ball-throwing antics in the wrap-around garden, catch some morning sun as you indulge in breakfast on the patio.

Venture to the coastal village of Thornham (1.5 miles) and scamper along the secluded circular trail ‘Anna’s Walk’ winding through lush woodland, glistening salt marshes, and the secluded sandy bays. Feel the wind in your fur with an afternoon amble on the shoreline of Brancaster Beach (5 miles) and sniff out the shipwreck ruins or inhale the fragrant scents of the purple fields at Norfolk Lavender (5.5 miles).

Well equipped holiday home. Large and spacious living rooms and bedrooms. Large enclosed garden, drive big enough for lots of cars. It is situated at the edge of the village on a busy A road. There are no pavements so walking with young children would be challenging. Great base for local attractions.

Despite its location next to a busy road, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cottage and its extensive garden and the bird life which frequents it. A bonus is its proximity to the Drove Orchards Farm Shop complex with its fishmonger, incredible selection of apples and two 'Eric's' takeaways. We highly recommend the fish and chips and the pizzasRead more looked very appetizing - and they had our preferred daily paper! We also enjoyed fine meals at local restaurants just down the road and re-visiting Tichwell reserve. Hide

We've stayed at Waxwings several times before first in 2019. We love the location of the property and find it handy for all the places we like to visit. The furniture is a little tired and worn now and on this occasion a cleaning issue made things difficult. The garden was beautiful and in full bloom during our stay.
