This bright and welcoming seaside cottage is in the ideal spot for a restful holiday with your four-pawed family member. It’s close to everything in Southwold and has an enclosed courtyard to relax in after a fun day out. There’s lots of space for six in three bedrooms and miles of beaches to sniff out nearby with your canine companion by your side.
Every room has heaps of seaside charm and character, with relaxing pastel hues and nautical themes. There’s a good-sized, bright, and light kitchen where you can prepare delicious meals, then devour them in the spacious dining room or head outside and dine alfresco. Relax in the elegant sitting room, which has a TV, DVD player and music centre, while Rover snuggles next to the cosy electric fire. There’s a handy cloakroom with a WC on the ground floor and the three attractive bedrooms, two kings and a bunk room, are on the first floor, along with the delightful family bathroom. Let your dog explore the sights and smells in the walled courtyard while you enjoy the relaxing in the fresh air.
The cottage is near Southwold Common and the thriving marketplace, with excellent shops to buy fresh dinner ingredients, is about 350 metres away. Grab the lead and wander along the promenade to the Grade-II listed lighthouse and sandy beach (0.5 miles) to let Rover have a paddle. Take a picnic and walk along the coast to Denes Beach (0.5 miles) where it’s a bit quieter than the main Southwold Beach. In the summer months, you can catch a ferry from Southwold Harbour to Walberswick (1.5 miles) and do some crabbing on either side of the river. Head to Reydon Wood (3 miles) in the spring to see the beautiful bluebells in the medieval wood, where canines are welcome to explore too.
