In this spacious farmhouse, there’s room for the dog, the grown-ups, the kids and cousins or friends too. All in all, this cottage sleeps eight! There’s a big, enclosed garden for games, space for arts and films, and the surrounding area is great for exploration and excitement.
Original features throughout make this a cosy and welcoming space for the entire party with traditional beams, exposed stone walls and farmhouse-style furniture. The kitchen/diner is a good size for entertaining – in the mornings, you can all pile into the breakfast nook for a feast before going on an expedition to one of the many local spots. Enjoy a night of board games or movie nights, while cosied up around the atmospheric wood burner. There’s one pretty double bedroom and three twin rooms for you to pick from. A wonderful lawn space offers a fantastic area for picnics or games with enchanting rural views for miles.
The property itself is fairly secluded and the nearest town, Presteigne, is 3 miles away. When you’re there, check out some of the dog-friendly pubs and cafes and let the children explore away. Trade off kid-duty with your partner by giving them the dog and taking the kids to East Radnor Leisure Centre for a swim, or visit the Kington Golf Club while everyone else does one of the many local walks. You’ll also be close to the Shropshire Hills, a dog-friendly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 miles) or you could visit the Spaceguard Centre in Knighton. This doesn’t allow dogs, so you and your canine companion can explore the town and follow the Little Offa trail. Busy holidays are always chaotic, fun and unexpected, and we know this house will be able to accommodate whatever the trip throws at you
