Watch Rover enjoy his Suffolk stay as much as you do when you book this inviting hideaway in Orford. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage is in an ideal position for dipping paws in the salty shallows and setting tails wagging with countryside and woodland walks. There is also a delightful garden to return home to after your adventures.
Wander into this lovely holiday home, taking one step up, to find yourselves in the welcoming lounge. Light the wood burner in here on colder days to warm chilly fur. Let your contented canine stretch out while you watch TV, listen to music or challenge each other to a board game. Amble through to the kitchen/diner, which has underfloor heating, to feed your famished four-legged friend and prepare the tasty Suffolk produce you have bought for everyone else. Call them through to the table in here when dinner is ready. A utility room, where you can rinse through any damp doggy towels, and a family bathroom are also at ground-floor level. Climb the stairs at the end of each exciting day to enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in either the king-size, or the twin bedroom which does have some restricted head height due to its characterful, sloping ceiling. Spill out into the garden on sunny days. Watch your pal play on the grass and cook lunch or dinner on the BBQ. The cottage has space for storing cycles. Parking is on the street, subject to availability.
Stroll down to the beach where four-legged visitors are welcome at any time of year, as long as you keep an eye on them near wildlife. They are also allowed to accompany you when you explore English Heritage’s Orford Castle, built between 1165 and 1173 by Henry II, and known for its unusual, polygonal tower keep.
