If you’re looking for a Mediterranean-feeling holiday mixed with the charm of Wales and the company of your dog, this might be the perfect escape for you! Officially, this cottage has room for four people and one dog, but the sofa can be converted into an extra bed for two more guests. This property is so close to the beach that it’s practically a sandcastle, and it’s great for busy and adventurous families. You’ll be based in beautiful Aberdaron: a small, friendly village perfect for exploring – with your top dog, of course!

Take in the shining water in the bay and the bright white exterior of the cottage, and when you enter, you’ll find a nautical theme, incorporating blue and sandy colours and with plenty of wood finishes. There are two lovely bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and one with a full bath, perfect for cleaning off the beach after a long day. The kitchen is snug and well-equipped, and there’s a separate dining room for family dinners, game nights and making plans for adventures. Also provided is a shed filled with beach gear.

The house is right on the dog-friendly beach of Traeth Aberdaron . Take Fido to play fetch on the sand, head to the Wales Coast Path for dramatic views, visit one of Aberdaron’s summer regattas, or enjoy some water sports. There are loads of amazing options, including sailing, kayaking and diving around old shipwrecks and reefs. When you’ve all worked up an appetite, check out some of the dog-friendly eateries or take a picnic to the beach. Have fun, make memories and enjoy the beauty of Wales.

The location of this property is great and the view from the room window was amazing. The parking is challenging if the neighbours are parked up as well. if you are a confident driver youre probably ok but otherwise parking is tight and needs a far bit of manoeuvre . The property was ready for a deep clean with lots of little maintenance jobs neediRead moreng doing. The overflowing bins in the shed smelt bad in March. We felt this was not good value for money and wouldnt be staying here again. Hide

The cottage is in a great location, close to the beach and local amenities. We visited out of season, so only the Spar, pub, and hotel were open, but this suited us well and made for a peaceful stay. The view from the upstairs lounge was lovely and a real highlight. The wooden stairs have quite a high tread, so our chihuahua needed to be carriedRead more, and we had to keep a close eye on her. They would likely be difficult for larger dogs to climb and descend. We visited Abersoch several times and had a lovely meal at Zinc Caf Bar & Grill. Hells Mouth and Whistling Sands were great for walking, as were the coastal path and beach at Aberdaron. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at Glandon. The location was perfect for what we were looking for: great sea views, proximity to flat walks near the sea front, close to pubs/cafes/chippy and a fantastic bakery! We enjoyed a few days out to other local beaches and viewpoints. The locals were incredibly friendly. The actual cottage had every utensil/all eRead morequipment we needed. It was very clean and well presented. The water pressure and showers were great. All communication was clear and given in advance of our stay. Smooth arrival. We would recommend Glandon and Aberdaron to family and friends. Hide
