Getting your priorities right means ensuring your furry friends can join you, your family or your friendship group on holiday. And that’s exactly what you can do at this three-bed stone property where up to six humans and two dogs can have a ball. It’s on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, 3.5 miles from Ingleton village, in a small complex on grounds that afford fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. It’s spacious, so there’s plenty of room to grab some alone time and canine chums can find their perfect spot to snooze.
The large open-plan lounge/diner is on the first floor and has a huge expanse of whitewashed stone wall, rising up to the building’s apex with a wood-panelled ceiling, giving it a lovely rustic vibe. There are armchairs for a snug feel right by the picture window, a lounge area and a TV in the middle, and a large farmhouse-style table easily seating eight. Views from the lounge are over two of the three peaks. On the ground floor, you’ll find the sleeping quarters, comprising one double and two twin bedrooms, with feature exposed stone walls and neutral decor for a restful night. Outside, the private patio area has a picnic bench for al fresco feasts.
Lots of people coming to this area will try the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. There are plenty of other walking and cycling opportunities practically from your doorstep too, so canine companions won’t be short-changed. Vibrant Ingleton has shops and places to eat and drink. Or hop aboard the Settle to Carlisle railway from Bentham (2 miles) to soak up the stunning scenery. And, yes, dogs on leads can go too – for free!
