Hidden away amongst the wooded hills and valleys that epitomise the landscapes in the south-eastern fringes of Snowdonia National Park, this quaint cottage is perfect for small groups or dog-owning families seeking tranquillity or adventure. Showcasing a plethora of original features, two cosy bedrooms and a lawned garden, the cottage, within 20 miles from Barmouth, is just the place to put the outside world on paws.

Spacious and naturally lit, every room in the cottage exudes an old-fashioned charm that more modern properties often struggle to replicate. Original floorboards are found throughout, complementing an open fire in the elegant lounge and real slate flooring in both the dining room and kitchen. From long lunches to film nights, your wish is the cottage’s command, no matter what the time of day. When you eventually call it a night, a spacious family bathroom and the comfort of two double bedrooms await on the first floor. A sloped lawn garden to the rear of the cottage adds depth to its quirky nature and is just the place for children and dogs to scamper around under supervision.

The cottage stands within 50 metres of one of the main routes that cut through the centre of the Snowdonia National Park, offering easy access to water sports, field sports, climbing and walking spread across a wide area. The popular seaside resort of Barmouth (19 miles) has a dog-friendly beach and it’s from here that you can all pick up sections of the Meirionnydd and Snowdonia Coast Path, a journey that allows you to enjoy the surrounding area from a whole new perspective.

Wonderful week at the cottage for my partner, me, 2 teenagers and our Springer. Utilised the trundle so the boys could have separate beds and they were happy with good WiFi. Great location for walking, house was warm and cosy, kitchen had everything you could need. Would definitely return.

Excellent stay, would definitely return!!! Lovely location, lovely property This property is in the Mach Loop and you have an excellent view of the fighter jets practicing, early morning or late afternoon, for an even better view get yourself right up on top of the mountains. The Chinese at the end of the road was excellent, but you need to booRead morek, although they also do takeaway. The Cross Foxes does a bangin Sunday roast!! The only slight negative was it could have been cleaner, but I am a clean freak!! Hide

The cottage is warm and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. Ideally placed for exploring the area which has lots of interesting walks and ancient sites. for a small village it has excellent eateries although shopping needs to be in the nearby larger towns. We loved our stay here.

The cottage was very cosy and well equipped with typical necessities (e.g. barbecue, beach toys, fast internet and DVDs). We enjoyed it as a good base from which to explore the local area as well as to venture further across Wales to Snowdon, beaches and forests. Would highly recommend it.

The kitchen equipment was extremely well equipped. The house was warm and a real fire was lovely. Its a quiet peaceful location set in beautiful surroundings. It is great for the walks nearby and there was good cleaning equipment and facilities such as an iron. It was a lovely cosy cottage and would like to stay there again.
