Property code: OC-TYWOMS

A quaint stone cottage surrounded by mature foliage and located on a peaceful farm setting on the outskirts of Abersoch, this romantic bolthole is perfect for adventurous couples exploring the Llyn peninsula with a four-pawed third wheel in tow. Drink in the fresh coastal breeze as you saunter along the cliff-backed shoreline of Porth Ceiriad while your waggy-tailed pal digs, rolls, and paddles to his heart’s content, then perch on your tranquil patio with a sweet treat and coffee.

This charming property features a traditional interior with deep wood and stone textures, a slate hearth, and light-dappled rooms. Towel off your soggy pup in the entrance hall, then step into the cosy lounge/diner where you can flop down on the sofa and sneak a pre-dinner snooze with your worn-out hound curled by your feet. Potter in the Shaker-style kitchen and prepare some tasty treats, then grab a bottle, settle around the intimate dining table, and enjoy a meal for two. Find the perfect corner for a plush dog bed, then rest up in the airy double room or enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed before overlooking the lawn and being hounded out for morning walkies. Treat Fido to an al fresco breakfast on the private patio or explore the grassed lawn area shared with the neighbouring properties.

Sniff out the nearby pub (400 metres) for a post-adventure round with the hound, or explore the bustling centre of Absesoch (1 mile) with a myriad of independent shops, eateries, and beachfront bars welcoming well-behaved hounds. History buffs and curious canines can roam the lower woodland at the National Trust’s Plas Yn Rhiw House (8 miles) and swing by the courtyard tearoom where refreshing dog bowls are provided. Don’t miss Criccieth Beach (16 miles) for fresh fish and chips and a coastal castle.

A lovely dog friendly cottage in an idyllic location and perfect for two! We had a wonderful week. A half hour walk into Abersoch with its own beaches and lovely beach cafes in one direction, whilst in the other direction (also 30 min walk) to the amazing beach at Porth Neigwl - perfect for dog walking! With a nice pub en route as well :-) It is alRead moreso well situated to explore further afield into Snowdonia National Park or across the Llyn Penisula. Whilst we didn't take our electric car - there are charging points. Our cottage backed on to a lovely shared walled garden - but there is also a large open grass/orchard to the side, which dogs are also allowed to explore and play in. The cottage owners are on hand and are lovely and very helpful. It was lovely! Hide

The cottage was very comfortable and the rooms were able to keep warm with the cooler evenings. Abersoch was just a 10 minute drive away and the local hostelry was only 5 minutes drive away..
