A dog-loving family or group of friends will have a ball at this light and airy beach-side bungalow. Quietly located with a pretty garden offering stunning sea views, it’s just a mile along the South West Coast Path from Looe.
Escape the everyday at this delightful seaside hideaway – it’s just a few steps from the doorstep to Plaidy Beach, where rock pools are revealed at low tide and dogs are welcome all year. Inside, there’s an emphasis on together-time with a comfortable open-plan living area that incorporates a contemporary kitchen, lounge and dining suite. A bay window and French doors deliver beautiful sea and garden views, and there’s plenty of space for Fido and his humans to enjoy evening down-time in front of the TV. At the end of a busy day, two peaceful bedrooms – one double and one twin – are bathed in light and close by, a shower room completes the single-storey layout. Enjoy sunny days and starry nights in the pretty, planted garden here; you’ll never tire of the sea views and your pup will enjoy a roll on the grass after a game of fetch on the sheltered beach beyond.
Lively Looe is just a short drive away, but it’s also easily reached via the South West Coast Path – and there’s a fine selection of eateries, inns and ice cream shops to reward your effort! Your four-legged friend will love sniffing around the lively harbour here; for car-free adventures further afield you could take a 9-mile train ride on the pet-friendly Looe Valley Line to Liskeard, the ancient Cornish town on the edge of Bodmin Moor. For doggy paddles and more seafront fun, drive 5 miles east of your holiday home and dogs are allowed all-year-round on Seaton Beach; less than a mile further on, Downderry is similarly pet friendly.
