The centre of Braunton is about half a mile away, with a choice of great dog-welcoming places to eat and drink. There are some lovely beaches nearby – with some seasonal dog restrictions, including Saunton Sands, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough Sands, all within 7 miles. The popular resort of Ilfracombe is 7.5 miles to the north, with the charming Victorian resort of Westward Ho! 16 miles south. Inland, Exmoor National Park (7 miles) offers some wonderful walks, or you can visit the thriving town of Barnstaple (6 miles).
