Two dogs and their six human companions can have a comfortable and relaxing holiday in this charming property. The living areas have plenty of space for your pup’s favourite blankets and beds, so they can rest their paws after big adventures, and there’s a utility room for extra toy storage. There’ll certainly be lots of fun when it’s time to go for walkies with your hound, as the Northam Burrows Country Park and the beach at Westward Ho! with its dog-friendly stretch of sand are only 1 mile from your doorstep.
Outside, the steps lead you straight into the cottage’s first floor, and the stylish kitchen/diner. It’s well-equipped so you can cook up a storm. After a dinner gathered round the table together, with your dog having licked their own bowl clean, head up the next set of stairs to the lounge. There are handy stairgates provided, at the top and bottom of the stairs, so there’s no need to worry about old or shaky paws struggling alone. Please also note the stairs are open-sided, so keep an eye on curious canines. The lounge is spacious and has lovely sloping ceilings. While your furry friend curls up by the wood burner-effect electric fire, give them a fuss and watch a film, or play family games. Carry a hot drink out to the balcony to stargaze. When you’re ready, retire to one of the bedrooms and let sleeping dogs lie.
For a special meal out with the whole pack, there’s a local gastropub (2 miles) where Fido will even have their own doggy menu to choose from, with a selection of tasty treats to spoil your top dog with. Admire the sweeping sea views from on high, by joining the South West Coast Path (1.5 miles) and walking along Abbotsham Cliffs (3.5 miles).
