This is a lovely cottage in a good village location, very comfortable furniture and beds. Bathroom is lovely, plenty of hot water. The conservatory is a great addition and we spent most of our spare time in there.

A lovely cottage, set in a very friendly village. An ideal situation for plenty of dog walks. The cottage is cosy and well equipped, with even a table & chairs to be able to sit out and enjoy the beautiful garden. There is limited hanging space for clothes upstairs, but plenty of drawers. The stairs are quite steep. We unpacked our suitcase downstaRead moreirs, and carried our clothes up in our arms! We didnt need to light the log fire: the sun and the central heating kept us warm. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in Rose Compass Cottage. East Hoathly is a lovely, friendly village with a good dog friendly pub, a village shop and walks galore. If we had realised beforehand that dogs weren't allowed upstairs we may not have booked, which woRead moreuld have been a great shame. As it was, it wasn't a problem. The sunny conservatory is a bonus. Lovely owners live nearby. Would definitely recommend. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay and meeting David. Really lovely little cottage, well located, nice walks just across the road and very friendly locals. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen( could easily cook a family roast dinner) and an excellent shower with terrific pressure, not forgetting the longest bath ever. Would highly recommend.
