Located just 2 miles from Kendal, sits this beautifully presented, two-bedroom eco home. Surrounded by wild flower meadows and thoroughly modern inside, it’s a comfortable getaway for a couple or small family plus three hounds wanting relaxation and easy access to the Lake District National Park.

The ground floor is light and airy with high ceilings, tiled flooring, and pleasant furnishings, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In the open-plan living area, there’s room for everyone with three plump sofas to relax on and plenty of floor space for Fido to stretch out. Large windows drench the room in uplifting light and on warm days you can push open the patio doors and let the sounds of nature drift in. Art and ceramics, made on-site by the family, are dotted about, creating a home-from-home feel while solar panels and an air-source heat pump add to the eco vibe. When it’s time to eat, there’s a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal and an attractive table with seating for four people. Also on this floor is a good-size family bathroom. From the living area, stairs lead up to the first floor and the two bedrooms. Choose between a lovely king-size bedroom and a double bedroom. Outside, a fenced garden means Fido can sniff out new scents while you sit at the pretty patio table and soak up the hillside views. There’s also off-road parking for two cars.

Pull on boots and enjoy scenic walks straight from the door or head to Kendal (2 miles) and discover its excellent restaurants, dog-friendly pubs, and weekly farmer’s market. For a day out rambling across fells and peaks, head 5 miles to the Lake District National Park or try a spot of wild swimming and kayaking at Lake Windermere (7.5 miles).

This is the 2nd time we've stayed there. The location is perfect & nice & quiet. Highly recommend & Eva is lovely & on hand if necessary.

Lovely cottage, great for dogs as enclosed garden . Very clean and one of the best places I've stayed, kitchen well equipped and absolutely loved the whistling kettle.
