Bring the whole pack: five guests and three canine companions, to the adventure capital of Keswick to experience an unforgettable Lake District getaway. Fill your days with endless dog walks, sightseeing excursions and trips to local villages, letting Fido and Rover take the lead and fetch countless sticks along the way. Perfectly positioned for exploring, the property is just half a mile outside of Keswick town centre and less than a mile from the banks of Derwentwater. The early riser of your pack can set off each morning on a stroll with the dogs to collect some tasty local goodies to take home for breakfast.
Said breakfast is best prepared in the large, bright kitchen on the property’s ground floor. Bi-fold doors lead from here into the large conservatory where a dining table offers space to sit and dine. On sunny days, we’re sure you’ll find your doggos delighted to bask in the sunshine in this fabulous sunroom. On colder days, step into the lounge and fire up the wood burner to create another cosy sleeping spot for man’s best friend. Watch the Smart TV from the comfort of the sofa before heading on upstairs to bed, where you’ll find three welcoming bedrooms. Choose from the king-size, double and single room, which also features a trundle bed. The property features one shared bathroom with a separate shower and there’s an additional WC on the ground floor. Outside, the cottage is completed with a generous, enclosed garden and furnished decked area – the perfect place to sit and drink whilst pets and kids play in harmony.
You’re spoilt for choice, with the excellent dog-walking options around Keswick, the Cumbrian mountains and stunning lakes all close by. Energetic pups can prepare to hike Skiddaw (5 miles) and Blencathra (7.5 miles), whilst those older pets with less energy can spend time exploring the effortless Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail (1.5 miles). The whole family, pups included, will enjoy exploring Derwentwater with an easy boat ride or a walk along the water’s edge.
