This luxurious lodge enjoys a peaceful setting amongst the North Wales countryside, surrounded by landscaped grounds and boasting distant mountain views. Sleeping two guests and up to four canines, the rural retreat makes the perfect base for a couple looking to escape the humdrum of everyday life. From the property, take a stroll around the shared, 3-acre grounds, admiring the pond and the abundance of wildlife, before heading into Conwy (3 miles) to dine in a cosy pub or restaurant.
The lodge sits within a small complex of similar holiday homes and is decorated in a bright and cheerful colour palette that’s guaranteed to lift your mood the minute you enter. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with floor-to-ceiling glass doors letting in natural light and framing stunning mountain vistas. Prep hearty meals in the chic kitchen area, which you can share at the dining table or outside on the patio. After dinner, stretch out on the corner sofa to watch the Smart TV. When it’s time for bed, retire to the relaxing super-king-size bedroom, where you’ll find a large picture window overlooking the garden and a stylish en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath. Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn where the pups can play, along with a patio area for al fresco dining. Guests are also welcome to explore the surrounding, shared grounds. Private parking is available for two cars.
In Conwy, you and the pack can walk along the ancient town walls, or head down to the harbour to watch the fishing boats going about their day. The castle is a paw-free zone; however, your waggy tailed chums are welcome to join you at nearby Gwrych Castle (14.5 miles). Just outside Conwy is the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, where stunning walking trails take you through wild meadows and woodlands. In summer, waggy-tailed visitors are welcome from Thursday to Sunday, and in winter they can join you every day. For a trip to the seaside, head to Llandudno (7.5 miles), with its Victorian pier and paw-friendly, sandy beach.
