Enjoying a secluded location at the heart of the New Forest, this fantastic annexe provides cosy accommodation for four human and two canine guests discovering a stunning part of the Hampshire countryside. Set in the hamlet of Sandy Down on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Boldre, the beautifully decorated hideaway is perfect for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers enjoying the magnificent landscapes of this stunning rural area. Within easy reach of the south coast, this stylish property features underfloor heating, a soothing hot tub and a beautiful large garden, making an idyllic family retreat.
Entering this serene woodland getaway, the main open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides an ideal space to unwind in, with a Smart TV, comfortable seating, a central dining space, and a beautifully arranged, fully equipped kitchen. The property also has a sleek shower room and two cosy double bedrooms. There’s a sweet mezzanine level, reached via a sturdy ladder, with space for two single beds which can be set up on request. Outside, the large private garden has a big lawn perfect for your four-legged friends to run and play. Immediately outside the property, there’s a lovely decked space with a BBQ, outdoor furniture, atmospheric lighting, and a magnificent built-in hot tub. There are private parking spaces for two cars.
The New Forest is a fabulous base for spellbinding walks with your pets. Popular local routes and destinations include the Reptile Centre Discovery Trail, the Sea Air Trail in Lymington, Hatchet Pond and Rockford Common, all within 15 miles. Pets are welcome at Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu, Hurst Castle, and the New Forest Heritage Centre, all within 12 miles. The cheerful coastal resort of Lymington is to the south (4 miles), with two dog-friendly beaches to the west: Taddiford Gap and Milford on Sea, both within 8 miles.

The cottage is in a perfect position for peace & quiet & yet within easy access to the Forrest & surrounding area. We really appreciated the private space & woods & our spaniel loved it.. We could walk from the property through a field & onto forest walks. The cottage in winter was welcoming & warm. I expect four adults would find it quite cozy butRead more for two we found it delightful. There was plenty of equipment for outdoor living in warmer weather including the lovely hot tub. Hide

Fabulous property! Comfortable, cosy and something a little different than the usual cottages on offer. Would highly recommend. Watching the stars from the hot tub on Sunday evening was a particular treat! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

As soon as you pull into Elkhaven drive you immediately feel the sense of quality and space. The unique accomodation is very stylish and cosy, with incredible views out of every window to the forest. Having a wooden hot tub was a delight - especially whilst star gazing in the winter evenings.
