Explore the leafy beauty of the New Forest when you stay at this dog-friendly retreat in Highcliffe. Sleeping five guests, the modern, three-bedroom cottage makes an excellent choice for a small family or couples wishing to bring a pet along to enjoy beautiful Dorset and Hampshire. Visit pet-welcoming beaches from the cottage then return to dry damp fur in the sunshine of the courtyard garden.
Step inside, hang dog leads and jackets in the entrance, then follow your furry friend into the open-plan lounge/diner. Sink back into the comfortable seating in the elegant lounge area to watch the Smart TV while your tired chum finds a corner of the room in which to rest his weary paws. Head over to the dining area to open the French doors to the garden so he can pad outside. Feed him in the adjoining kitchen and whip up delicious meals for everyone else to sit down to back at the table or out in the garden. As night falls, give soft ears a rub goodnight then head upstairs for your own great night's sleep. The bedrooms up here include two king-size and a small, 4' double. The family bathroom is also at this level. Awake to make fresh coffee in the machine and spend sunny mornings out in the courtyard garden with your chum before heading off on yet another excellent dog walk.
Stroll down to Avon or Highcliffe beaches, both within 1 mile of your cottage and where dogs are welcome any time, although they do sometimes have to be on a lead. You can also pick up the South West Coast Path here and walk 2 miles to Mudeford Quay. Delight your dog by following all sorts of trails through the New Forest National Park, which begins 1 mile away.
