Book a stay at this smart, dog-friendly cottage and stride out across the hills to picture-postcard Lulworth Cove. Sleeping four guests, the immaculate, two-bedroom retreat is perfect for a dog-loving family or couples wishing to bring canine companions with them. With a courtyard garden, it is just over a 1-mile walk from Lulworth Cove and the South West Coast Path.

Make your way inside and see your chum's tail wag as he explores his new home from home. At the heart of the property is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with ample space for both pups and people. Open the French doors on sunny days to bring in a fresh breeze. Watch the Smart TV from the comfort of the sofa while your contented canine relaxes on the rug. Prepare hearty meals over in the chic kitchen and feed your famished furry friend here too. Gather around the table for celebratory meals or dine out in the sunshine. There is also a handy WC downstairs. Pat your pal goodnight at the end of each wonderful day away and then climb the stairs to your comfortable bedrooms. These include a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and a twin which can also be made up as a king-size if discussed at booking. There is also a family bathroom at this level. Take your pet for a walk every morning then return to have breakfast out in the courtyard garden together on summer mornings. Light the BBQ outside on balmy evenings.

Walk 1.5 miles from the house to Durdle Door, which is renowned for its striking limestone arch. The beach here is also dog friendly all year round. Visit Lulworth Castle, 3 miles away, where happy hounds are welcome to explore the parkland, gardens and castle with you.

Lovely cottage, the sheep were a bit if a shock to our city dogs, but they soon got used to them milling about outside the back fence. Great watching the lambs. Very peaceful and cosy in the stormy weather.
