This colourful and spacious four-human and two-pet property benefits from a town centre location while also being on the edge of the Peak District National Park, with waterfalls, scenic hiking trails and lakes nearby. Enjoy cosy evenings in the vibrant lounge, dine alfresco in the sheltered courtyard and pop out for a tipple at one of the local pubs.

Step inside and find yourself in the elegant neutral-toned kitchen/diner, with a farmhouse-style fitted kitchen unit and a rustic dining table set. Continue into the vibrant lounge to find a characterful exposed stone ornamental fireplace surrounded by plump, contemporary sofas. Climb the stairs past the exposed stone feature wall to find a family bathroom plus three bedrooms: a double and two singles. Outside, is a courtyard which is tucked away at the rear of the property with garden furniture and glimpses of the distant peaks.

During your stay in the West Yorkshire town of Meltham, explore the local eateries, pop into the shops and stroll along the Meltham Dike (all within 0.5 miles). Sniff out the cascading Folly Dolly Falls (1 mile) and wander around the Blackmoorfoot Reservoir (2 miles). Head into the Peak District National Park and follow the trail from Wessenden Reservoir (6 miles) to Butterley Reservoir (5 miles). Lead the way to adventure in the Middle Black Clough Waterfall hiking area (11 miles) or challenge yourself to an uphill slog to the Higher Shelf Stones where you’ll find panoramic views of the national park and the fascinating B29 Overexposed Crash Site (18.5 miles).

Great property in convenient location to visit Manchester, Leeds, Peak District and lots of other fab locations. Property has been nicely refurbished. Good Indian round the corner and close to supermarket and pubs
