Bring your two canine pals on a family getaway or holiday with friends and spend days indulging in beach runs and countryside strolls. A stay in this stunning house offers a tranquil escape and the chance to explore the great outdoors, while being close to shops, pubs and places to eat.
There's no shortage of space for you and your hounds to relax in this gorgeous cottage, which has been furnished beautifully. Changes in level between rooms on both floors reflect the heritage of this lovely old building. Step through the front door and up into the open-plan lounge/diner. Once you've popped your dogs' food and bowls in the handy utility room, you'll want to head for the welcoming sofas and settle down with a cup of tea and a book in front of the wood burner. Alternatively, you may wish to gather in the cosy snug, where there's more comfy seating and a Smart TV. Holiday cooking will be enjoyable in the shaker-style kitchen, which includes two ovens and a coffee machine. On the first floor, the four bedrooms include one with an en-suite shower (in this compact room one side of the bed is against the wall). The other three bedrooms share an exquisite bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. In the tiered garden, your four-pawed besties can frolic as you enjoy an aperitif or meal on the patio.
In the landscape around the cottage, you'll find a variety of pretty trails, with gorgeous views around every corner. Clip on the leads and head out for a stroll around postcard-pretty Cartmel, 2 miles, with its choice of places to eat and interesting shops, or to Grange-over-Sands, 3.5 miles, with its long prom that's ideal for a dog walk and has vistas across Morecambe Bay.
