Experience a blissful break with your loved ones at this gorgeous stone barn conversion sitting in a tranquil hamlet just 0.5 miles outside the village of Christon Bank. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, this is an ideal holiday home for families or groups of friends who want to celebrate a special occasion in Northumberland together. During the day, explore Alnwick Castle, which starred as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. In the evening, come home to fire up the BBQ in the courtyard garden, and cook up a feast while your pups run free in the enclosed space.

Step inside and you'll discover a welcoming hallway leading to a chic lounge that showcases a cosy wood burner and exposed beam ceilings. Take a moment to soak up the traditional ambience before heading to the sleek open-plan kitchen/dining area to cook dinner. Gather everyone together to eat at the elegant dining table under the impressive vaulted ceiling in the dining area, or step outside to enjoy an al fresco dinner in the enclosed south-facing courtyard garden. After dinner, toast some marshmallows at the fire pit, or head back to the lounge area to relax in front of the glowing wood burner. At the end of the day, on the ground floor, you'll find a quaint twin bedroom with a convenient shower room next door. Upstairs, there are two country-style king-size bedrooms boasting exposed beams and rural views, along with a smart family bathroom that features both bath and shower facilities.

Pack up a picnic and head off for walkies at Beadnell Bay (7.5 miles). This gorgeous beach is dog friendly all year round, although there is a seasonal restriction for breeding shorebirds during the summer months when your pups must be kept on a lead. Alternatively, take your dogs for some historic walkies at beautiful Bamburgh Castle (10.5 miles), which is perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the North Sea.

We found the property comfortable and well appointed. Lots of good places to eat as recommended in the information provided by the owners and lots of information on what to see and do. A good location to explore the Northumberland coast and countryside.

A beautiful middle barn, a welcome card and a bottle of Prosecco from the owners was a lovely touch. Plenty of room for 6 of us and the dog, perfectly situated for getting around all of the beautiful beaches and villages. Had a really great week
