Take your happy hound on long coastal walks and across the scenic downs when you stay at this delightful house in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. Step outside and stroll 300 metres to pick up the Isle of Wight Coastal Path. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, dog-friendly retreat captures stunning sea views and comes with a courtyard garden for summer relaxation and a wood burner for warming soft fur after winter walks.
Make your way into the property and watch your happy hound feel immediately at home. Take him through to the stylish kitchen/diner, which has wooden work surfaces, to give him a large bowl of water and his dinner. Make yourself a fresh cup of coffee in the machine and unpack the provisions you bought in town for your own homecooked meal. Head through to the lounge to enjoy the coastal views from the bay window and to watch the Smart TV for a spell. Light the wood burner in here on chilly days and let your contented canine bask in its welcome heat. There is also a family bathroom downstairs. The bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, are both up on the first floor of the cottage. The twin room can also be arranged as a king-size, by prior agreement, and features an en-suite shower room. Take your cheerful chum outside with you on fine days. Gaze out towards the sea together from the bench at the front of the house or have a BBQ under the stars in the courtyard to the rear.
Enjoy the 1.5-mile walk to Steephill Cove, where dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. Orchard Bay, 2 miles away, is also pup-friendly. Spend an afternoon at beautiful Ventnor Botanic Garden, 1.5 miles away, where dogs are welcomed with open paws.
