The well-equipped kitchen provides all the essentials for preparing delicious meals, enjoyed at the spacious breakfast bar under a skylight. French doors in the kitchen area lead to a delightful balcony with comfortable seating, offering stunning views across the Taw Valley. At the end of the day, descend to the ground floor to discover two inviting bedrooms. Choose from a king room with an en-suite shower room and Freeview TV, and a twin room with another en-suite shower room (convertible into a super-king-size on request). Outside, let the dogs and youngsters play in the fenced, artificial grassed area while older guests relax on outdoor seating with a sundowner or two.

For four-legged friends with energy to burn, the nearby Tarka Trail offers 180 miles of off-road cycling and walking, with charming tearooms and pubs lining the way. Venture beyond the village to explore picturesque Instow (10 miles), renowned for its attractive, dog-friendly estuary, beach and waterfront. During the summer months, embark on a pedestrian boat ferry journey to Appledore, where you can stroll through its pretty cobbled streets and visit the traditional quayside
