Perfect for spotting the area’s abundant wildlife and taking in the dark skies, this cheerful hideaway is ideally placed for walkers and nature lovers exploring a breathtaking corner of Hampshire.

Lying at the end of a long, unmade road, the cottage is one of a small group of neighbouring properties in quiet surroundings. Inside, the pretty lounge has comfortable seating, a Smart TV, a range of vintage pieces and a bay window overlooking the garden. The relaxing open-plan kitchen/diner has plenty of modern conveniences and opens onto the garden. Exploring this cheery, fresh and inviting retreat further, you will find an invigorating bathroom and two cosy, light-filled bedrooms: a pretty king-size room with its own en-suite shower room, and a lovely room with a king-size zip-and-link which can be made up as a twin. From the lounge, doors open out onto a delightful garden with a patio, outdoor furniture and a lawn with space for your four-pawed pal to run about.

Close to Thorns Beach on the edge of the Beaulieu Estate, this lovely getaway is ideally placed for long walks with your dog through the magnificent New Forest National Park. Dogs are welcome on the grounds at Beaulieu (5 miles), with other local pet-welcoming attractions including Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway (8.5 miles), the New Forest Heritage Centre (12 miles) and Lepe Country Park (11 miles). Heading west, you can visit the coastal town of Lymington (7.5 miles).

•  Access to Thorns Beach is permitted between 10th July and 28th February, to protect nesting birds. Park Shore Beach (600m away) is accessible all year and a Vehicle permit is supplied
• The property is accessed via a long, unmade road, which may not be suitable for sports vehicles or those with low ground clearance
• Arrival: 16:00 onwards
• Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
• 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
