This canine-compatible cottage awaits in the village of Portinscale, just a tennis ball’s throw from Keswick (1.5 miles) amid the Lake District’s awe-inspiring walking territory. Grisedale Pike, Whinlatter Forest, and the lakes of Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater all stand ready for adventure within 4 miles of your base that awaits after long days in the elements. Perfect for families and groups of friends, return home for a cosy evening beside the roaring wood burner, resting tiresome feet as you unwind in front of the Smart TV.

Lovingly presented with cosy interiors, you’re sure to feel instantly at home when stepping into this Lake District lodge. Walk past the utility room where four-pawed pals can have muddy paws wiped down, then move through to the social heart of the home, the open-plan living space. Here, warm toes and paws at the central wood burner as the Smart TV plays your favourite films. Let the chosen chef work their magic in the compact and well-equipped kitchen, before the group gathers at the dining table to reflect on the day’s adventures over food. When nighttime beckons, let the pooches curl up in a cosy corner, and head upstairs to find four sumptuous bedrooms. Choose from two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, a twin room with an en-suite shower room, and an adult-sized bunk bedroom, served by the well-appointed family bathroom. Outside, enjoy al fresco food and drinks at the raised deck area, enjoying views of the surrounding countryside.

Just 1.5 miles away is the town of Keswick, Cumbria’s adventure capital where spectacular walks begin and end, with plenty of local pubs inviting pets inside to warm up and get refreshed. The Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail (2.5 miles) is an enjoyable route on the outskirts of town, ideal for an easy-going morning dog walk, whilst the mighty Skiddaw Mountain sits close (6 miles) for more challenging hikes.

We loved our stay in CraigLynne. It was very comfortable and you provide everything you'd ever need, for any length of stay. All the equipment is amazing and the play room, games etc just added to experience. We are looking to come back next year for a whole week.
