There are four sumptuous king-size bedrooms across the ground and first floors; three with en-suite shower rooms. There is a separate ground-floor shower room, a utility room, and a WC for added convenience. A peaceful study area doubles as a reading nook upstairs. Outside is a sheltered patio with garden furniture and extensive grounds, where you may spot red squirrels and a family of otters.
Sports fans can enjoy a game at Newmachar Golf Club or test their skills at the famous Royal Aberdeen Golf Club (10 miles). Dog-friendly Balmedie Beach (8 miles) offers miles of sand and surf for races and romps, and a cafe in the summer season. Visit Pitmedden Garden (7 miles), a spectacular recreation of a Scottish Renaissance walled garden, along with an orchard of more than 200 fruit trees and a museum of farming life. Dogs are very welcome in the property’s waymarked woodland trails. Try to decipher the Dyce Symbol Stones, ancient and mysterious Pictish carvings, displayed in atmospheric St Fergus’s Chapel (4.5 miles).
